Dr. Olivia Schmitke is a supervised psychologist who joined SouthernMED after finishing her PhD in Psychology at the University of South Carolina. She completed her predoctoral internship at Richland School District Two in Columbia, working with children ages 2-18 years. Throughout her graduate training, Dr. Schmitke worked in various settings including private practice, public schools, and with USC athletics.

At SouthernMED Counseling, Dr. Schmitke provides psychological evaluation for children, adolescents, and young adults. She is skilled in assessment of behavioral and academic difficulties and identifies conditions such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, autism, etc. Additionally, she is passionate about delivering therapeutic intervention to adolescent and young adult populations. Dr. Schmitke enjoys working collaboratively with families and individuals to foster individual strengths and overcome obstacles.

Before graduate school, Dr. Schmitke received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Union University in TN. She currently lives in Columbia with her husband and two cats, Crew and Queenie.
