Leticia Dearman graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She worked as a Mental Health Community Support Specialist before she returned to graduate school where she earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health in the Counselor Education program at Mississippi State University. Leticia completed her internship in an addiction center, and has worked mostly in community mental health settings during her career. She has worked with children and adolescents and their families, and led a children’s day treatment group program; as well as working with adults with many different mental health needs. Leticia served on the mobile crisis response team for two and half years. Before moving to South Carolina in late 2020, she was the Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist for her region in Mississippi where she focused on evidence-based practices relating to the treatment and relationship between mental health and addiction as a whole, and conducted trainings on implementing techniques with her colleagues. She has also achieved certification in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing, a technique that is used for individuals that have experienced trauma. Leticia is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of South Carolina.
