Dallas Thompson, LPC

Dallas Thompson was born and raised in Columbia, SC, where she now raises her son. She attended Lander University for her undergraduate studies, majoring in Psychology, where her love for working closely with people and hearing their stories began to grow. There, she learned about the significant impact that people and other external sources can have on a person and graduated Magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in 2018. To further nurture her passion for wanting to work with people from different backgrounds, she continued her education back in her hometown, at the University of South Carolina. In 2020, she completed her graduate studies with an Ed.S degree in Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy and now serves as an LPC.

Throughout her graduate studies, Dallas had the opportunity to work with foster children as well as adolescents and young adults struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. Dallas also gained a personal interest in working with parents, during her graduate school internship, by leading and co-facilitating parenting groups. She believes in the uniqueness and resiliency of every individual and strives to help her clients develop the skills necessary to nurture and develop healthy relationships. Dallas also believes that a successful therapeutic process starts with a positive therapeutic relationship and works to build that with her clients.
