Aliza’s journey to become a counselor began on her third mission trip to Honduras. As she listened to their distressing stories, it reignited a passion to empower people to find their own answers by understanding their story. She feels connecting with people and having them feel seen, heard, and valued is at the heart of the counseling relationship.
Aliza was born and raised in Wisconsin and enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF) after high school. While in the USAF, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. After retiring from the United State Air Force, she made South Carolina her home. Aliza’s travels in the USAF provided her with many opportunities working with, supervising, and connecting with individuals from diverse cultures.
Aliza graduated from Liberty University with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. During her graduate internship she gained experience in counseling adults with anxiety, grief, depression, self-esteem issues, and addictions utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She obtained her license as License Professional Counselor Associate in January 2020.
